Brian Currie is one of Scotland's most influential journalists and commentators and brings a wealth of experience and contacts to his new public relations and media venture.

While most PR and media company executives and staff exaggerate their careers, Brian Currie has 40 years’ experience in newspapers, television and radio covering politics, news and current affairs and sport making him one of the most familiar names in Scottish journalism.

His extensive range of contacts includes senior politicians both at Holyrood and Westminster, political insiders, opinion formers, business leaders and sports personalities.

Brian was Group Political Editor for The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times from 2009 to 2012, having previously been Associate Editor (Politics) at the Evening Times. Based at the Scottish Parliament for 12 years, he was in daily contact with senior Government Ministers and officials and MSPs of all parties – links which have been maintained since establishing himself in public relations. Brian’s first-hand experience and continued contact with the political establishment gives him unrivalled insight of the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government.

Coverage for clients was secured across national, local and Scottish media, including the BBC and STV, Radio Clyde, West Sound, The Herald, Scotsman, Daily Record, Sun, the Times, Sunday Times, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Aberdeen Press and Journal, Evening Times, Liverpool Post, Liverpool Echo and numerous websites.

Brian also worked for the BBC for almost 25 years in a career which included being editor/producer on programmes such as Reporting Scotland, the political programme Left Right and Centre, Grandstand from Scotland and Sportscene.

His many accolades include a Royal Television Society award.
